4-PrO-MET (4-propionoxy-N-ethyl-N-methyltryptamine) is a synthetic tryptamine structurally closely related to psilocin (4-HO-DMT), the active metabolite of psilocybin found in so-called "magic mushrooms." Substances such as 4-AcO-DMT and 4-HO-MET are also considered in similar contexts.

In research, 4-PrO-MET is discussed particularly in connection with perception, cognitive flexibility, and introspective processes. Due to its well-defined molecular structure, the substance is suitable for experimental designs in which reproducible conditions and precise dosing play a central role.
